FNSW Futsal Cup
2019 sees the third season that Football NSW, in association with Indoor5s Futsal, will run a ‘cup’ competition for senior men and women’s futsal teams – primarily for Premier League 1 and 2 teams. (for 2019, a community league team has also entered and takes on Sydney Futsal in an early qualifying round).
Boomerangs FS have both their open men’s and women’s teams in the midweek Cup competition that runs from October through to December. All matches are played at Valentine Park, Sydney.
The round of 16 starts in October, with all matches elimination-style until two teams are left standing – to play off for the cup in December.
For season 2019-20, the Boomerangs Women were eliminated in the quarter-finals, however, the Men’s team made it through to the Grand Final. A preview and wrap of the match can be found at http://boomerangsfs.com/news/futsal-cup-preview/.
FNSW Premier League
Boomerangs FS enters nine (competitive) age groups into one of the elite NSW Futsal competitions with games played on a home and away basis from September to December and involving competitive teams from 12 boys through to Open Men’s and Women’s. Development squads are also included for 9/10/11 boys and 11/12 girls.
Home games are generally played at the AIS Training Halls with away games to various corners of Sydney.
