Boomerangs FS were promoted to the NSW Premier League after an outstanding season in the NSW Super League in 2010/2011. This confirmed the club as starters in the 2011/2012 Premier League season kicking off in October 2011.
The 2011/12 Premier League season got off to the best possible start with seven wins from nine games against also newly promoted South Coast Taipans. Those results though proved to be unsustainable and the reality of the higher quality level of futsal in the Premier League soon set in with only three and two wins in the following two weeks.
The inaugural Premier League season for the Boomerangs saw the 14 and 16 girls teams finish 3rd in their age categories qualifying them for their respective minor semi finals. The men’s and youth teams both needed a win in the final round against Campbelltown Quake to qualify for the finals – they both fell agonisingly short, both on the end of single goal losses.
A solid first season in the top flight competition.
