Season kicks off next week!!

The Football NSW Futsal Premier League season kicks off in earnest one week from today and for the Boomerangs the season starts with a home game round against Dural Warriors at M-Powerdome.

The squads are being finalised and training intensity lifting in anticipation of a hard fought first round against one of last season’s front runners, the Dural Warriors. Dural finished second on the Club Championship ladder last season (one point behind Inner West Magic) with an enviable 72 wins from the 126 games played across all age groups (as well as 23 draws). Dural also took home their fair share of wins in the end of season finals series winning the grand final in the men’s, youth men’s and the 12 girls.

Playing Dural at home in the first round of the season will benefit the Boomerangs teams more than the Dural teams, and the opportunity to grab some all important competition points is there across all age groups.

Boomerangs home games this season will be played across three venues, the M-Powerdome in Fadden, the AIS and at Tuggeranong Basketball Stadium. This is unfortunately unavoidable as the lack of a dedicated futsal facility in the ACT requires reliance on other venues and sports to free up spots on a usually busy Saturday. The final draw for the season will be out very soon and this will provide details of home and away games and where the home games are to be played.

Good luck to the Boomers of 2013/2014!
