This weekend sees the nine Boomerangs teams plus their supporters trundle up Highway 31 to Mascot to play the Vipers on their home turf.
The Vipers last season were strong across most grades and finished the Club Championship in third place – behind only Dural and Inner West. Their 67 wins and 19 draws from 126 games in season 2012/2013 saw them comfortably ahead of fourth placed Campbelltown Quake.
Based on last year’s form, Mascot were the most consistent of all clubs with good performances from all age groups barring 16 Boys. Indeed, they had six of their nine teams represent the club in finals futsal. A strong effort will be required from all Boomerangs teams this weekend if the club is to return home with some club championship points this weekend.
The games are being played at the All Sorts Indoor Sports Centre at Alexandria, and games kick off at 1.30pm.
