The 2013/2014 NSW Premier League Futsal season is almost upon us and planning is in full swing.
Team selections and trials will be occurring from the week of 19 August and will continue for 4-5 weeks. The competition commences in early October and comprises 14 rounds of competition – seven of which are played in various locations across Sydney. Games are generally played on Saturdays and away games require a significant time and travel commitment.
Boomerangs is an elite level futsal club and the NSW Premier League is arguably the strongest futsal competition in Australia. The club will select only Canberra’s best futsal players.
After four weeks of pre season training, around nine players will be chosen for each age group. The age groups are 12 Boys and Girls, 14 Boys and Girls, 16 Boys and Girls, Youth Men, Open Age Men and Women – nine teams in all.
A cost of $30 per player will be levied to those attending trials. This is to defray the costs of hiring training facilities.
