Round 10 PREVIEW v Mountain Majik

This weekend sees the Boomerangs once again travel the Hume Highway for an away round against Premier League ‘newbies’ Mountain Majik. The Majik have been outstanding this season – their first in the Premier League – after dominating across almost all age groups in the 12/13 NSW State League. They appear to be the only club now capable of challenging Inner West Magic in the race for the overall Club Championship.

So a trip to South Windsor will provide plenty of challenges for all Boomerangs teams.

Earlier this season – in Round 3 (at home in Canberra), the Boomerangs were overrun by a dominant Majik securing only two wins across the nine matches played that day at the AIS. The highlights were the 16 girls and the open men, both teams securing wins, but there were other good performances, especially from the 12 boys, 14 girls and open women.

After nine rounds of the 13/14 season, Majik’s best performing teams include their Open Women (3rd), Youth Men (4th), 16 Boys (1st), 14 Girls (1st), 14 Boys (4th), 12 Girls (2nd) and 12 Boys in third.

There will be however real opportunity to pick up points across many age groups this Saturday including the 12 and 14 boys, 16 girls, and of course both the open men’s and women’s teams. Other teams are also capable of causing a form upset.

The games kick off at the Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium in South Windsor at 12 noon.
