Round Eleven of the Football NSW State League Futsal competition saw the Boomerangs travel to Alexandria to play a round against Eastern Suburbs Hakoah under the Sydney Airport flight path!
The day produced four wins and five losses, and likely put an end to the finals aspirations of several age groups including the 12 and 14 boys, and possibly the Open Men (who now need to win their final match and hope for other results to go their way). The 13 girls and 16 boys had been out of contention for finals for some time. The Open age Women and Youth men are locked in finalists, with both the 15s and 17s girls looking to win their last game on January 24 and (especially the 15s) hoping some results go their way on that weekend and the Boomerangs bye weekend of January 17.
