The third F-League season for women saw a much improved standard across the league and resulted in a disappointing season for the Boomerangs women’s team, managing only two wins and three draws from their 12 matches played.
This resulted in the first season of women’s F-League that didn’t see the Boomerangs in the finals – and indeed the Grand Final.
Dural Warriors took out the Grand Final in a thriller against South Brisbane (2-1) after earlier inflicting a heavy defeat on Inner West Magic in the semi-final (7-3). The other semi saw South Brisbane narrowly defeat the strong East Coast heat team (3-2).
