F-League

The F-League was the highest level of elite Futsal played in Australia under the auspices of the Football Federation of Australia (FFA) and the only domestic competition played to full international rules. It was also the pathway for clubs to play in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) futsal competitions.

Boomerangs FS is one of only two clubs that participated in every season of the men’s competition since its inception in 2011 and theĀ F-League women’s competition from 2013.

The competition was managed by Football NSW and endorsed and supported by the FFA. Seasons generally commenced in May and concluded in August. Further information on the 2016 and earlier seasons via the links below.

On 7 March 2017, Football NSW announced it would no longer be delivering the F-League. Since that time, the FFA has put no alternative arrangements in place to run a national men’s and women’s League annually. This has meant a curtailing of opportunities to play in Asia. Concurrently, the FFA ceased their ongoing support for the national men’s team, the Futsalroos.
