FNSW PL2 18/19 Presentation Night

February 9, 2018, saw the ever-growing Boomerangs tribe gather at the Yowani Country Club to celebrate the season just passed and to recognise the raft of tremendous performances across the FNSW PL2 competition in all age groups.

Some 265 players, parents, families, sponsors and supporters joined in the celebrations on the night. It was a night of fun, of laughter and of course, a celebration of the excellent season just completed. And, of course, there were some awards to hand out.

A number of raffles held, with some significant prizes involved – all generously donated by Boomerangs sponsors. There were shirt auctions that raised some valuable funds for the club and there were special guests including former Boomerangs players and Australian Futsalroo representatives, Angelo Konstantinou and Daniel Fulton. The Chair and CEO of Capital Football were also in attendance.

Boomerangs FS seeking Business Club Partners for 2018/19

Boomerangs FS, the number one futsal club for the ACT and region, has developed a new business opportunity that seeks to build a business community through a business loyalty program where the members of the club will be able to call on the services of its club partners.

The program has the potential to expand a business client/customer base which will in return benefit each partner. The benefits for club members may include discounts on services and potentially repeat player sponsorships in future years.

FNSW PL2 17/18 Presentation Night

March 3, 2018, saw the Boomerangs family gather at the Yowani Country Club to celebrate the season just passed and to recognise the raft of tremendous performances across the FNSW PL2 competition in all age groups.

Over 230 players, parents, families, sponsors and supporters joined in the celebrations on the night.

Each team – from the development squads to the open age women and men – were awarded two trophies, one for the Coaches Player and the second, MVP, as voted for by their peers. In addition, a range of whole-of-club awards were awarded to those who achieved above and beyond for season 17/18.

This sponsorship arrangement continues the partnership from the 2016 F-League and brings affordable and accessible physiotherapy services to our club members.

Established in 1996, Performance Edge provides exceptional assessment, diagnosis and treatment for all sports and general physiotherapy needs. They have two conveniently located clinics with easy parking in Tuggeranong and Belconnen. Both locations are within walking distance of major shopping centres and amenities.

Sponsorship Opportunity

Boomerangs FS is on the lookout for a major sponsor for its 2017 F-League campaign. Boomerangs have a proud track record in the nation’s highest league.

There are many talented players in these two teams and a raft of young talent coming up through the junior ranks. Indeed, three recent Boomerangs players – Angelo Konstantinou, Daniel Fulton and Cal Smith – have represented Australia (Futsalroos) at major international competitions including the World Cup. A further three men’s players have – at various times – been called into a larger Futsalroo training squad in the lead up to major competitions. There is not yet an FFA Women’s national team, however there are several Boomerangs women players who would be likely selections in an Australian FFA endorsed team.

The F-League however, is a significant cost burden to the club and requires the Boomerangs to raise over $30,000 to allow participation of both a men’s and women’s team in this elite Australian League.

Player registration fees for the 2016 season needed to be high to cover these costs – and all players were asked to find individual company sponsors to help cover the costs to participate (of roughly $900 per player per F-League season).

The opportunity therefore arises for a major sponsor to come on board to partner with the Boomerangs for the 2017 F-League season and beyond.

Shirt front sponsorship is available, as is significant exposure on all Boomerangs online properties (including this website, Facebook, and Twitter pages and our Google+ photo site). Visitor numbers are increasing significantly across all of those online channels. There is also online exposure through the match videos hosted online at the F-League YouTube channel. Capital Football also helps to promote the Boomerangs in the F-League (and the FNSW Premier League). There may also be opportunities for logos to be included on our growing range of supporter wear, available from Joma Australia.
